The Return of the Rotary Club of Horsham East Art Fair

Same great talent, yet something completely new.

About the new show

After an absence of 3 years from the community, Horsham Rotary East will play host to the Art Fair 2016, but with a bit of a difference.

Horsham East President, Penny Flynn said, “the format will be emphasising the artist as they will have the opportunity to purchase a bay and profile several of their works or just have a couple of entries. The major prize of $1,500 will be for the ‘Best Bay in Show’ with other categories for artists to participate. The catalogue will profile the artists/groups participating rather than just the name of their works.” 

This gives the buyer and general population the chance to interact with the artist directly.

Whether the artist is selling something small, or something large it is all up to the artist to decide WHAT they sell. 

The Rotary Club has elected to donate a percentage of the proceeds from the Fair to be donated to Rachael’s Wish - Wimmera Cancer Centre Project fundraising appeal. This has been instigated to improve the health and wellbeing of the people in the Wimmera and Southern-Mallee through the development of a facility specifically for cancer treatment, renal dialysis and community palliative care.

“The Club has a history of providing physical and financial support to Horsham’s major projects that improves the lifestyle of our community including the Aquatic Centre and more recently the newly refurbished Horsham Town Hall. In fact Horsham East Rotary is celebrating 45 years of serving this community.”
